If you’ve been keeping up with Cooking Cara lately, then you might remember a couple weeks ago I wrote out my “Running List” – kind of like a bucket list, it’s a list of things big and small that I’ve always wanted to do, try, buy, or accomplish. To keep me on track, every couple weeks I’ll post about my progress with the List.
After starting a new gig last week, this was one of the first weekends in a looong time that I didn’t have to work and it was glorious! We went to spin, we went for a run, we shopped around Princeton, I spent a good chunk of Sunday cooking (for fun!), and we joined the public library. Check off my first item on The Running List! Maybe I’m just getting really old, but I love libraries – the smell, the sweet librarians, the amazing DVD rental collection – and the library in our town totally fit the bill. And to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, I checked out The Complete Book of Vegetables to start planning our garden – check two! I only quickly flipped through over the weekend, but I’d love to grow our own tomatoes, some sort of lettuce or kale, and a bunch of herbs. I think I’m most excited for the creative ways to to plant our herbs. Here are a few herb gardens that are inspiring me on this spring day…
