Endings and Beginnings…and ice cream

TGIF, my friends! The past 2 weeks since returning from vacation have been quite hectic, emotionally and physically. Today is my last day at Benchmarc Restaurants, where I’ve spent the last 2 years eating lots of good food and making friends with some wonderful people. It is bittersweet, as all endings are, but I’m very grateful for the people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve gained that I feel will help prepare me for this next chapter in my life. On Monday, I’ll be starting a new journey with HelloFresh, the recipe kit delivery service that you might remember me mentioning here and here. I’ll have a lot to learn in my new role, but I’m more than ready and excited for the challenge. I’m starting to get those first-day-of-school- butterflies that I used to get when you don’t really know what to expect in the new school year, but being the geek that I am, I also thrive off of those first-day jitters.

To help calm my nerves and celebrate this new venture, the timing of this weekend couldn’t be more perfect: Justin Timberlake & Jay Z’s concert at Fenway!! I’ve been dying to see JT live ever since the “Señorita” music video came out, so this concert has quite the expectations to fulfill. Now if only Beyonce would make a surprise appearance?… We’re already planning our reprise visit to JP Licks while we’re in Boston, which I’m sure will only be the beginning of many celebratory treats and drinks over the next few days…
