Fun Friday News…

After a month of flawless beach weekends, I’m finally staying put in the city. Although I could really use a body of water to jump in after this week’s humidity, I’m looking forward to relaxing and catching up with some errands and museums in the city. I’m also excited to share some fun news…I’ll be guest blogging for the awesome meal delivery service HelloFresh over on their blog, and the first post goes live this Sunday! I’ll be sure to share the link once it’s published, but until then I wanted to give you all a sneak peak of what the HelloFresh meal box looks like:


Each week, HelloFresh members get to select 3 unique chef-crafted recipes (with the option of 2, 4, or 6 portions) and HelloFresh sends you a perfectly packed box with all of the ingredients in the exact portions. For a Type A person like me who loves things that are neat and organized, unpacking my box was quite the thrill (such a nerd, I know). 
 I’ll be sharing a more in-depth review of all 3 recipes from my first box next week, but here are some pictures of the Turkey Taco salad with Guacamole Bites. Simple, quick and healthful – perfect for a weeknight summer meal.
After a busy day followed by birthday drinks for Traver, I was starving by the time I got home at 9:30, so this HelloFresh meal was the perfect solution to get dinner on the table fast without having to order takeout – I was chowing down by 10!  And being a lover of leftovers, I’ve got a seriously delicious lunch to look forward to tomorrow!

    Did you leave your items in the bags in the fridge, or did you take all the vegetables out? Veggie and fruit storage is still a work in progress for me!

      Hi Peggy! I took out all of the fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit from the bags and then refrigerated them. If there’s any moisture inside the bags, it could cause the fresh produce to spoil or mold faster, so it’s best to air them out if you can!
